Sun - footloose

2011 REGISTRATION

REGISTER EARLY - Space is limited.  Registration is not considered complete until registration form and deposit is received.  Once registration is complete we will send a confirmation.  Welcome packets will be sent prior to the event - these will include directions and additional detailed information.

SATURDAY EVENING/COUNTRY AUCTION - On Saturday, after workshops conclude, attendees have free time to explore Maine, go out to dinner, kick back by the pool or join us for a trip to the local country auction. The auction is very laid back and usually has a great mix of items. It also has a concession stand with an assortment of low-key dinner options including some VERY yummy desserts.  More details will be shared closer to the event.

WORKSHOP CHOICES - One of the wonderful things about Art in the Rough is that it is not an over-crowded affair. You will have plenty of room to spread out and quality, one-on-one time with your instructors. Please make sure you indicate first and second choice on your registration form.  Workshop choices are first come, first serve. We will make every effort to try to fit you into the class of your choice.

RAIN OR SHINE - We believe in celebrating nature, in all its forms.  In the event of rain, Art in the Rough will take place as scheduled. Our tent houses have been treated to withstand heavy rains and all activities can be moved to our art barn should it persist. We’ve found the rain drumming on our barn roof is hypnotically soothing. Please see “the fine print” in your registration form regarding extreme weather/acts of God.

AREA CONVENIENCES - There is no doubt, Art in the Rough is a retreat in the country, however there are some local conveniences right up the road.  Within a 5 minute drive, there is a Dunkin’ Donuts, Gas Station/Country Deli, Dollar Store, and a small Supermarket.  We also have a large antiques shoppe and a plant stand specializing in unique & heirloom annuals and perennials right on site. NavelJelly Studios will have an “open studio” during the event as well.

OFFSITE LODGING - Due to the spirit of the event, we highly encourage on-site lodging. However, if you prefer to lodge off-site there are some B&Bs and hotels within the area. Contact us by email for more information.

BUNK ROOM UPGRADE - New for 2011, we offer a shared bunk room at an additional fee of $50.00. The bunk room is located in the Art Barn and is a shared space for 4 guests.  Comfy cots with linens and warm blankets will be provided. BUNK ROOM SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.
